A-CURE, LLC

A-CURE is a community faith-based program, accredited by the State of Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS) that offers supported recovery housing along with faith and community-based outreach and support services. We are a three-phase model: Community-Integration, Self-Realization, and Self-Transformation. Our goal is to effectively provide continuum care for individuals with addiction and mental health disorders by coordinating services.  Our staff meet people where they are at; by meeting people where they are at we are able to help them with employment, education, job training, clothing, harm reduction and various other services. Our goal is to offer hope by bridging gaps and planting seeds.

We believe in the potential of the human spirit and its ability to grow despite adversity while utilizing spiritual principles to enhance the quality of life for individuals.  We do this by taking a proactive and holistic approach in bridging the gap in our system and capitalizing on the wealth of services available in the State of Connecticut to create a more positive future for all.

We at A-CURE want to provide individuals with strength, encouragement, and hope on their journey to self-empowerment and a lifetime of independence and freedom.

Owner/Program Director: Terri Keaton

I would like to take a minute to introduce myself. My name is Terri Keaton, I am the founder and Program Director of A-CURE, LLC, “A Community Utilizing Resources Effectively”.

I have been working in the Eastern CT region as a social worker for many years while successfully operating A-CURE, LLC. for the past 12 years. I have a Bachelor’s degree in the Human Service field, I am a Human Service Board Certified Practitioner, Certified Recovery Coach, trained in Harm Reduction best practices and hold a Clinical Pastoral Certification.

I have a personal vested interest in the recovery field as I am an individual in recovery myself.  It is through my spiritual journey that I have been empowered to give back and help others.  As a single mother of three children, I believe in family, integrity, and self-empowerment.

I truly believe that "God uses broken people to do big things"!
